UMA Innovation Awards 2009:
Finalists Announced, Winners Recognized at MWC 2009

awards2000UMA Today and Orange/France Telecom will recognize excellence and innovation in UMA-based products and services with the 2nd annual UMA Innovation Awards.

Winners will be announced during an awards ceremony at the Orange stand - Courtyard, CY 03 - at 17:30 on Tuesday 17 February during Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona. The event is open to the public.

The finalists of the 2nd annual UMA Innovation Awards are:

  • Best Mobile Handset - 3G Phone: Finalists are LG Electronics KF-757, Samsung P270; and Sony Ericsson G705u
  • Best Mobile Handset - Feature Phone: Finalists are Nokia 6301; Sagem my519x ; and Samsung T339
  • Best Mobile Handset - Smart Phone: Finalists are HTC Shadow; RIM BlackBerry 8120; RIM BlackBerry 8320; and RIM BlackBerry 8900
  • Best Handset Portfolio: Finalists are Research In Motion (RIM); Sagem; and Samsung
  • Best Handset Platform: Finalists are Ericsson Mobile Platform; ST-NXP ; and Qualcomm
  • Best CPE: Finalists are Cisco/Linksys; Gemalto; and Westell
  • UMA Today Innovator’s Award: To be announced at the awards ceremony
