Telia's HomeFree service is back and better than ever. Telia is offering two packages: Home Free Coverage and Home Free Basic, both based on UMA to offer subscribers better coverage at home. Subscribers can also sign up for Telia Broadband.

With Telia Home Free Coverage, customers don't pay extra for UMA service; they can now use Wi-Fi to improve mobile coverage at home or in the office and simply pay their regular price for Telia Mobile or refill prepaid card.

Home Free Basic Coverage is set up a little differently. With a monthly service package, subscribers' calls from a home/UMA zone have no per-minute charge. The connection fee is 69 öre per call to the fixed telecommunications network.

Håkan Dahlström, head of mobility services at TeliaSonera in Sweden, previously said about Home Free: “We are integrating the mobile telephone in the digital home by taking the best features from both worlds to also incorporate the personal communications capability of the mobile phone in residential telephony. Telia Home Free has been developed to lead the migration from fixed to mobile and makes mobile communications both easier and cheaper by combining the mobility of the mobile phone with the low calling cost of fixed telephony.”
