RIM Launches 2 NEW 3G UMA BlackBerries -

Pearl 9105 and Torch 9800

 

 

Some of us may have been on vacation during the past few months, but RIM has been busily turning out new 3G and UMA smartphones.

 

The BlackBerry Pearl 9105, targeted for the European market BB9105and available through Orange, ditches the Qwerty keyboardfor a traditional 14-key phone keyboard with SureType technology. It supports all three types of Wi-Fi (b, g, n), runs OS 5.0 and has a 3.2 megapixel camera and a 360x400 pixel screen. RIM put out a Pearl 3G video.

 

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is the first RIM smartphone launched BB9800with OS 6.0. It has a slide-out Qwery keyboard, a 3.2-inch, 360x480 touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, universal search and simultaneous voice and data access. It is available in the US.
